Giro Animas Helmet.
I bought this helmet after breaking my last one. I wanted to get the best I could afford, with ventilation and safety of equal importance.
The 27 large vents improve airflow and offer superb ventilation to keep you cool, while the in-molded upper and lower hardbody provide high strength and maximum protection.
The Animas fits like a glove thanks to Giro’s RocLoc 4 system, allowing lateral and vertical adjustment. It doesn’t move at all when riding. The removable / washable Coolmax pads add comfort and wick away sweat.
The visor is very stable and can be moved through 15 degrees of adjustment for perfect vision and eye protection.
The Animas also creates great helmet hair!
On the negative side, I find my head gets quite cold on winter rides, but have solved this by wearing a Buff underneath.
Helmets are quite a personal choice and I tried on the full brand before deciding on the Animas. I would have liked the E2, but to be honest it didn't fit as well and was a bit too pricey.
