Saturday 10th March 2007 -   Innerleithen Traquair XC
It was time to tackle the Traquair XC Course for the first time as a group ! 10 of us turned up ready to roll !
10.30am was the meet time, but by the time we all got our butt’s into gear and got on the trail it was more like 11 am before we actually got going.

Once we had all stopped laughing and all caught up with the new fast member (you know who you are!) we were of again now onto a long stretch up the forest road to the next single track climb that seems to go on and on all the way up to the summit of the Minch Moor and a height of 570m ! At last some much needed nourishment and a shelter from the wind.

This was a wicked trail that caught some of us out but made us all smile and laugh with many a story to tell ! And the guys who didn’t come today really missed out !

The gang today were;
Andycantjump,  Pinkeye,  Jnrmikey,  Sniperkona,  Supercharge,  1985,  Loris65,  8307,  Rod,  Big W

Minch Moor, Innerleithen XC
This trail starts with a twisty steep climb that soon gets the legs burning and the heart pumping, and just when you get into your stride the path is suddenly covered in rock steps to test your handling skills. A few of the guys raced of in what is now becoming the norm and had to wait a while for us all to regroup before heading into some wicked single track that ends with a huge drop into a bomb-hole. Pinkeye soon found out that the jump on the exit is easy to get wrong and a short trip over the bars ended with a couple of scratches and some seriously dented pride !
Now came the main prize, a swooping series of jumps and berms on the way down the enduro trail, and eventually reaching the start of Plorra Craig !
We split into two groups here with pinkeye, Andy, and Loris heading down the rock strewn path of Plorra Craig and the rest of us heading down the Downhill Track before meeting again at the top of  Caddon Bank and the final blast over the many jumps and drops. Poor jnrmikey was caught out a bit here and ended up over the bars on one of the biggest jumps here ! Landing on his head and smashing his helmet (ouch!) He seemed ok but you never can tell with these young dudes as nothing seems to worry them.
